This federal agency governs all interstate moves. For long distance moves, call the FHA to verify each mover's license and insurance coverage.


The AMSA Certified Mover Program ® is a registered trademark that designates professional movers who have agreed to follow an industry Code Of Conduct by performing quality moves and responding to customer complaints in a timely and ethical manner. The program is made up of an elite group of 100 movers who have voluntarily agreed to participate by committing to provide their customers with efficient and reliable interstate household goods transportation and storage, a professional level of service, and prompt complaint handling and dispute resolution

A salesperson who is a "CMC" is someone who has received a Certified Moving Consultant credential. The CMC credential has come to represent a fundamental competency and adherence to ethical conduct of the sales force for the Household Goods Moving & Storage Industry.

A salesperson who is a "COIC" is someone who has received a Certified Office & Industrial Consultant credential. Started in 2001, the COIC credential represents a fundamental competency and adherence to ethical conduct of the sales force for the Office & Industrial Moving Industry. In dealing with a COIC while planning your move, you can be assured that you are working with a knowledgeable sales consultant who is committed to providing excellent and fair service.

The Certified Professional Mover Program provides essential skills necessary for quality job performance while stressing customer relations and claim prevention. The program includes customer relations and claims prevention and covers packing, loading and unloading, safety and reporting procedures.

Our Claims Analysts are certified by The AMSA.



DOT - Department of Transportation license - Interstate motor carriers are required to hold authority to operate and to be registered with the Department of Transportation.

MC -Motor Carrier license - Licensing and insurance matters are being handled by the FHWA's office of Motor Carriers.
